Wanted: 300 valentines
/Three years ago, before the hugs, I wanted to show loved ones how much I care so I began simply by sending them little red paper hearts. Like in grade school, I cut each out of construction paper. Then I sealed them in plain envelopes and mailed them without a return address.
In the days leading up to February 14, 2011, my favorite valentines - 35 of them - received the little hearts from a secret admirer. When the holiday arrived, I emailed them a link to a blog post to reveal the sender and tell them how I feel.
I think they are the bees knees.
Right now, you are loved by more people than you can imagine.
They are out there, perhaps all over the world, wishing you the best of everything that life can bring.
These hearts are a reminder that you are loved, always.
One of my valentines called the other day.
Her three year-old daughter has gotten the heart-making bug, so much so that she now has 300 in a variety of colors and sizes!
Did I want them?
